Nice to meet you!

A little about me.

My Path to Becoming a Psychologist

I was first introduced to the world of psychology by a teacher in high school. She was charismatic and made each class a lot of fun, which helped foster my interest in the subject. I am so thankful for her and that experience because I absolutely fell in love with understanding how the brain works and learning about factors contributing to human behavior.

What I Want Patients to Know

I lead by creating a genuine and trusting relationship, as it is the bedrock of therapeutic work. You are the expert on you and I am the expert in psychology; together, we form a team to work through whatever is bringing you to therapy. During our first appointment, we will get to know each other. We will go through your history and what is bringing you in at this time. In therapy, I typically focus on living in the present moment, gaining an awareness of the stories your brain is telling you, learning how to regulate your emotions, and learning how to communicate in an effective way. We will work through the tough stuff and celebrate the victories together.

What I Like Best About Being a Psychologist

I genuinely enjoy spending time with others and understanding how their experiences have shaped them into the people sitting across from me. Being a psychologist allows me the privilege of getting to know people on such a personal level and joining their worlds.

My Core Values

In our work together, I prioritize creating a space where you feel truly supported and understood. Empathy is at the heart of everything I do—I’m here to really listen to you, understand your feelings, and walk alongside you in your journey. I deeply believe in treating everyone with respect, honoring your unique story, and ensuring that therapy is a place where you feel valued and heard.

Compassion is key to my approach; I’m here to offer care and kindness as we navigate challenges together. I also believe in authenticity—you’ll find that I’m open and genuine with you, creating a space where you can be your true self without fear of judgment. Therapy is a team effort, so collaboration is something I hold close. We’ll work together to set goals and find strategies that work for you. And finally, I am committed to competence, continuously learning and using the best practices available to help you achieve the change and growth you’re looking for.

These values shape my approach to therapy, creating a warm, safe, and trusting environment where you can feel comfortable exploring and growing.

My Training

Throughout my career, I’ve developed extensive clinical experience across a wide range of settings. I completed both my master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University, where I trained in an APA-accredited program. I also completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship. My clinical training included work across the lifespan with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I’ve provided therapy in outpatient clinics, intensive treatment programs, and community mental health settings.

Throughout my training and professional career, I’ve developed a strong foundation in evidence-based treatments, with advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through intensive and foundational programs with the Behavioral Tech Institute. I’ve facilitated DBT groups, conducted comprehensive psychological evaluations, and worked closely with individuals navigating complex mental health concerns including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders.

I combine clinical expertise with a personalized and warm approach to help patients build insight, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change. Whether you’re dealing with life transitions, emotional overwhelm, or persistent patterns that are holding you back, I’m here to walk alongside you with support and skill every step of the way.
